Wedding Rehearsal &"Day of" Wedding Direction

Congratulations! You have made the most wonderful decision you can - having your wedding ceremony and reception at Serra Retreat Center.

As Wedding Director for Serra, it is my pleasure to guide you through your Rehearsal, your Wedding Ceremony and your Reception. My role will be to create and manage your time line both for the Ceremony and for your Reception.

Wedding Rehearsals last an hour and are generally held on the Saturday before the Wedding. Rehearsal starting time will be arranged in accordance with Father Warren schedule approximately four to six before your wedding.

On your wedding day, I arrive early to assist with and inspect all deliveries, to prepare your room for hair and make-up, to assist you while dressing and to coordinate all vendors. Prior to the day, I will confirm that all vendor and rental orders are correct, delivery times are accurate, and to assess any special needs they may have.

I will instruct and supervise the banquet employees to follow your wishes to the exact detail. I will be there to direct and greet your guests as they arrive. I will organize and direct the wedding party just prior to the ceremony. I will also be there to direct your guests to the reception immediately follow the ceremony.

Part of my additional responsibilities will be to collect and store gifts, remind guests to sign the guest book, organize the bridal room, and to gather all the bride's possessions and have them ready for you when you leave. In addition to coordinating the staff, I will be available to handle any last minuet questions or any unforeseen problems that may arise.

I will be there to supervise the overall production and coordination of the food, beverage and service on site. I will be responsible for writing the time line and to implement it. I will work together with the musical director or emcee to make sure the event is done according to the prescheduled time line. I will make sure that the wedding proceeds smoothly from ceremony to reception so that no experience will be missed.
